Highline Schools Foundation Awards Over $94,000 in Grants to Support Students and Innovation
Innovation, inclusion, and opportunity are thriving in Highline, thanks to nearly $95,000 in grants awarded by the Highline Schools Foundation this year.
With funding increasing 25% over last year, these grants are empowering educators to bring creative, equity-focused projects to life across Highline.
By the Numbers
- 41 Excel Grants awarded, totaling close to $46,000.
- 9 Impact Grants awarded, totaling just over $49,000.
- 29 schools or programs receiving funding this year.
- An additional $5,249.94 has been set aside for special projects addressing the specific needs of LGBTQ+ students, to be awarded in the new year.

This year’s grant recipients highlight how educators are transforming classrooms and programs to serve students better.
$10,000 | "Living History at Waskowitz" | Waskowitz Outdoor Education Center
All 4th-grade students will participate in a hands-on day trip that brings history to life.
