Dear Families and Students,
I have decided to transition from Maritime High School to pursue a Doctorate of Education at Harvard Graduate School of Education. I will leave Maritime at the end of this school year to pursue full-time study.
This decision was challenging because I genuinely cherish learning and collaborating with our Maritime community of students, staff and families. However, I am confident Maritime is in great hands with dedicated educators, staff and community partners genuinely committed to our students and their future.
I am fully committed to the Maritime community through the end of this school year, including preparing for the transition of sharing the Olympic Interim Site with Tyee High School. You can continue to reach me via email at tremain.holloway@highlineschools.org. I will do everything I can to support the transition of the incoming school leader, once that individual is identified.
You have the opportunity to help select the new principal. We are currently seeking input from families, students, staff and community partners.
What characteristics and strengths do you believe are most important for your school leader to possess? Share your input through a ThoughtExchange conversation. You can also see and rate others’ feedback using the five-star scale. The exchange will close on Wednesday, March 29.
Reflecting on what we have achieved together, I stand humbled and say thank you to each of you. I am incredibly grateful for all we have accomplished in a brief amount of time. I will always be rooting for the success of the Maritime industry and, most notably, for our Maritime Scholars.
With much gratitude,
Tremain Edge Holloway
