Maritime High School Continues to Thrive at Olympic Interim Site

Maritime High School Continues to Thrive at Olympic Interim Site

MHS Welcomes New Neighbors in September 2025

As we continue a long-term search for a permanent home for Maritime High School, we want to confirm that our school will remain at the Olympic Interim Site next school year. In fall 2025, after Tyee High School transitions to its new building, we will welcome Pacific Middle School to the Olympic campus as they temporarily relocate during construction of their new school.

Our Commitment to a Permanent Site for Maritime High School

District leaders understand the importance of finding a permanent site for Maritime High School, and this remains a priority for our district. Progress toward a permanent location depends on additional funding from partners, sponsors or the state. We are grateful for the support of our community and sponsors, and we continue to explore opportunities to secure Maritime High School’s long-term home.

Continued Space and Schedule Coordination

The Olympic Interim Site is set up to accommodate shared use, as demonstrated during Tyee’s time on campus. Just as Maritime and Tyee have operated successfully together, we will continue this positive arrangement with Pacific Middle School. Each school’s classrooms will be in distinct areas of the campus, and arrival and dismissal times will be staggered to ease transitions.

We look forward to continuing to foster a positive and collaborative environment at the Olympic Site when we say farewell to Tyee this spring and welcome Pacific staff and students next fall.
