Pathway Decision Deadline: January 17
Maritime High School students select a career pathway for 11th and 12th grades. We’re excited to support our students as they explore their educational and career pathways!
Students must finalize their pathway decisions by Friday, January 17, 2025. This decision determines the program students will participate in starting in their 11th-grade year.
Recorded Information Sessions Available to View
To support you in this process, we offered three virtual information sessions to learn about each pathway. The recordings are now available below.
Whether your student is interested in Marine Science, Vessel Operations, or Marine Construction, we’re here to help you make the best choice for their future.
Marine Science
This pathway combines rigorous academic coursework with practical, hands-on learning to prepare students for industry-specific certifications. The curriculum fosters an understanding of marine ecosystems and the maritime industry.
Fieldwork and Academic Partnerships
Based on family feedback, 11th-grade students will remain on the Maritime High School campus, taking courses such as Environmental Science and Marine Science.
In their senior year, students will split their time between Highline College and the Maritime High School campus. This partnership provides access to a range of courses and the opportunity to earn transferable college credits. Students will also work with Maritime High School instructors on complementary projects to ensure a well-rounded education.
