Culture of Learning
Academic Expectations
At Maritime High School, students progress through two distinct phases of learning: the Explore Phase (grades 9–10) and the Launch Phase (grades 11–12). Advancement from the Explore Phase into the Launch Phase requires students to demonstrate readiness through concrete evidence of learning, responsibility, and personal growth.

Collaboration Statement
Maritime High School is dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous
environment where every student is supported in their personal and educational journey.
Through restorative practices, mastery-based learning, and authentic field work
experiences, we prepare students not only for graduation, but for meaningful contributions
to the maritime industry and the broader community.
We encourage students and families to remain engaged, communicate openly with staff,
and take full advantage of the opportunities offered at Maritime. Together, we can ensure
that our school community reflects the values of responsibility, respect, and integrity.
